Part Time Laboratory Technician - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Part Time Laboratory Technician.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Company in Midland is currently looking for a part time Laboratory Technician. Duties are: Responsible for laboratory-based tasks. The function of the technician is to support the site team in a number of administrative and functional tasks. The position requires the ability to learn and perform a number of basic tasks associated with account administration, data recording and monitoring, simple laboratory procedures and analysis and some field work in a chemical process environment. Working schedule is expected to be 15 - 20 hours spread over 3-4 days per week to start. Safe work habits are paramount in a zero tolerance safety environment. - Laboratory testing of water samples - Laboratory maintenance and inventory supplies - Order processing, management and documentation - Maintaining service data bases and documentation - Maintaining up to date filing systems - In plant sampling and basic analytical testing - Communication with plant Operators and Supervisors - Ability to learn the basic concepts of boiler and cooling water treatment ( why we test and what it means) Technical and mechanical aptitude will be required along with good written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to details is important to assure accuracy in documentation.
