Primary Responsibilities:



  • Perform quantitative analyses of utilization and health cost data, estimates and forecasts

  • Be dedicated to the Performance Based Compensation initiative

  • Interpret and analyze healthcare data from various internal and external sources

  • Define/Develop and test performance metrics across multiple plans and set targets as part of a payout program

  • Identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies

  • Create and update automated processes

  • Analyze and Create reporting tools utilized by the internal and external customer groups

  • Be a technical and data lead for the various processes in place and  for development of new processes

  • Mentor Junior Analysts

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline

  • 5+ years of experience working with SAS or SQL

  • 5+ years of health care experience

  • Proficient in working with MS Excel including formulas, pivots, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.

  • Ability to solve complex problems with Data Analytics and present results in a clear manner

Preferred Qualifications: 



  • Master's Degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
