Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Operations Manager of Food Service to become part of a 300 resident upscale continuing care retirement community, Moravian Hall Square, located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. This Operations Manager, Food Service, will play an active role in client leadership team and be involved in strategic planning for facility. Will support the dining operations for all levels of care and managing the day to day operations with efficiency using ideal and company standards of excellence. Will report to the General Manager and manage 3 managers with a total staff of 102 hourly employees.

Ideal candidate have strong business acumen, food service management experience, a valid Serv-safe certificate, excellent knowledge of food presentations, fundamental culinary knowledge, food and labor management systems experience, strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace. Best qualified candidate will have prior healthcare or acute care food service management experience, possess excellent leadership, along with strong financial and communication skills. Will be hands on during dining experiences where the position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Department of Health regulatory guidelines and be flexible with work hours. Typical shift will be 9:00am - 6:00pm, will vary, and will include rotating weekend and holiday management coverage.

Position Summary

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
