SUMMARY: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and will be assisting with the building of supplies in support of pre-clinical and clinical development with drug delivery systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Prepare samples using multiple process methods, operating equipment and tooling.
- Conduct entry level lab work under direction of senior technical staff to support the development of products and processes.
- Perform laboratory maintenance activities which equipment, tooling, and glassware cleaning.
- Prepares for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing materials and supplies.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
- Documents production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches.
- Make detailed observations using good documentation practices.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS IN ENGINEERING
- Experience using standard laboratory equipment such as balances, micro-pipettes, mixers and microscopes.
- Manual operations
- Documentation of work
- Proficient in using MS Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
- 0-5 years experience
