Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a qualified Multi-Services Operations Manager to work with an Oil & Gas client in San Ramon or Richmond, CA. This manager will oversee the day to day operation of site services with a strong focus on Appearance Care/janitorial services. Other responsibilities may include oversight or support of mail room operations, shipping/receiving, Pest Control, Fleet and Motor Pool as well as sub-contractors for outsourced services.

The idea candidate will have experience managing a team, demonstrating best practices for janitorial services for a large company.

Preferably a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the janitorial/facilities field

Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in janitorial/appearance care work

Cleanable space 1 million square ft. - approx. 10 bldgs Probe potential problems and apprise manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary. Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards. Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. certifications, licenses, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel). Establish operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees. Establish a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and/or waste. Must be able to flex work schedule to the needs of the business and manage team. Team works two shifts, ending at 10 PM All other duties as assigned

Position Summary

Number two position at an account/unit providing two or more core services (facilities/engineering, food or custodial). Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers in multiple service areas. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
