Overview:

The Client Training Manager primarily coordinates, implements and conducts training programs for all new hires. The incumbent provides and conducts on-going training programs and creates training tools to assist in the training process.

Responsibilities:

  • Continually educate the Category Sales Representatives and Retail Support Representatives about the features and benefits of our clients' products, machines and our services
  • Train, test and qualify Acosta new hires and/or retail store personnel on proper use and maintenance of on site equipment, including all federal, state and local safety regulations.
  • Schedules new hire training and works with clients to establish customer training needs
  • Develops training plans to ensure flawless execution of new or altered products, services or equipment at retail level and monitors results.
  • Has constant communication with Team Leaders, Dist. Category Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers regarding training needs.
  • Attends all sales meetings and presents training as required
  • Works retail once a month with CSRs and DCSMs from all teams
  • Maintains professional conduct at all times according to ACOSTA guidelines. Do not compromise personal integrity or ACOSTA integrity in order to complete a client priority.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years retail selling and merchandising experience w/ CPG companiesPrevious training experience with mechanical and computerized equipment preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a car for extended period of time.
  • Must be available for overnight travel.
  • Must be available for weekend work (Demos, Food Shows, or Special Client Programs).
  • Must be able to work nights and holidays. Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to recognize and understand issues and develop a process to solve the problem at hand.
  • Must be able to speak and hear. Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp and stand on a daily basis.
  • Must have good vision, dexterous use of both hands and be able to operate a calculator, fax machine, telephone, copier, hand truck, pallet jack, hammer, screwdriver, drill and case cutter.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment.
  • Advanced computer skills including Word and Excel and other work place communication tools.
