Description

Sr. Analyst, Corporate Strategy

The Corporate Strategy team is focused on providing broad, strategic vision for Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG) and identifying and evaluating new growth initiatives. The Analyst will conduct the analysis needed to formulate the company’s strategic direction. She/He will support problem solving and opportunity evaluation, including strategic and financial analysis and the creation of business plans for high potential opportunities. The role will proactively monitor changes in the external environment and collect intelligence on the industry, categories, channels, competitors, consumers, shoppers, and customers.

The ideal candidate will bring 2 or more years of experience in a Finance, Strategy, or Marketing capacity, or 1 or more years’ experience in Management Consulting. They will have demonstrated analytical assessment and Excel modeling skills, along with the ability to delivering impactful presentations to senior level executives. An MBA would be considered a plus.

This role is office based at our Plano, TX headquarters, travel will be minimal, not to exceed 10%.

Responsibilities
1. Support strategic projects ("special projects") and cross-functional teams in driving strategic efforts
2. Develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to guide analysis to answer business questions
3. Synthesize complex strategic problems into clear, actionable analysis and execute flawlessly
4. Prepare recommendations and presentations for leadership teams
5. Partner cross functionally to support the development of the relevant fact base
6. Conduct routine research on industry, competitors, channels, categories, consumers, shoppers, customers, etc.
7. Access, analyze and interpret data resources (ie. Nielsen, Beverage Digest, Margin Minder, Euromonitor, analyst reports, Kantar, Mintel, etc.) to identify insights and support recommendations

• Demonstrated strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly, influencing skills as well as ability to manage ambiguity
• Good oral and written communication skills - the ability to communicate at senior leadership levels with ability to quickly gain credibility
• Outstanding collaboration skills, with proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business lines to accomplish shared goals and manage expectations
• Experience with project prioritization and adherence to timelines
• High level of maturity

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, or other analytical field
• 2 years’ experience in Finance, Strategy, or Marketing
• 2 years’ demonstrated experience with advanced Excel modeling skills
