IT Infrastructure / Network Manager Job

Top Skills Should You Possess:

- Seven (7+) years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing and managing large network infrastructure environments, including directing/leading technical infrastructure activities.
- Five (5+) years in infrastructure activities such as networks, enterprise systems, databases, storage or help desk.
- Must be able to work extended hours on evenings and weekends.
- Some travel required (2-20 overnights per year).

What You'll Be Doing:

- Member of the management team ITS Department in the areas of information systems architecture, design, implementation, and project planning.
- Collaborates with the management team to estimate requirements, prioritize projects and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Apply effective managerial and professional skills and knowledge of information technology to assist in the planning and management of the (ITS) strategies by managing the Infrastructure Technology staff and researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.
- Responsible for all information technology infrastructure and shared services, including all data center and disaster recovery sites, physical and virtual servers, storage and backup infrastructure, server operating systems, wireless, (LAN/WAN), Oracle and SQL databases, and all telecommunications equipment.
- Manage the day-to-day operations including downtime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking IT operational metrics.
- Maintains overall security of network, systems, and data.
- Ensures high availability of critical network services.
- Duties include building relationships with state affiliates and working toward providing stronger and more integrated infrastructure technologies and services.
- Reports directly to the Director of Information Technology Services.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelors' or master's degree in technology field, or discipline related to the position
- Seven (7+) years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing and managing large network infrastructure environments, including directing/leading technical infrastructure activities.
- Five (5+) years in infrastructure activities such as networks, enterprise systems, databases, storage or help desk.
- Experience must also include extensive technical, analytical and management skills implementing a production environment, configuring operating systems, organizing and directing hardware/software life cycles and leading or supervising staff, budget development, and administration.
- Responsible for on-time delivery of high-quality products and services aimed at modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating the enterprise within and across the enterprise.
- Develop and monitor budget projections, timelines, and project plans for operational and capital efforts. Responsible for creating contract drafts from standard contract templates for internal legal and business review.
- Expertise in Fail-over, load balancing and disaster recovery setup, Server Side Virtualization, Cloud and Hybrid Solutions, Network Routing, Switching and Security. Broad operational knowledge of information technology including infrastructure, applications, networking, and computer operating systems.
- (SAN/NAS) including Hardware & Software (NetApp, EMC or equivalent). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or equivalent).
- Experience architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-class systems from an infrastructure perspective.
