Position Purpose:



Employee moves stock throughout the warehouse with the assistance of a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).

Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities w ith or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Scans cases into a hand held radio frequency unit then manually loads, if necessary, those cases onto a pallet.
• Drives PIT and pallet to secondary or primary storage locations to either stage full pallets and or manually unload cases into storages locations or stocker staging area.
• Drives a variety of PIT such as:

Order Picker;

Reach Truck;

Sit Down Forklift;

Rider Pallet Truck;

Power Pallet Jack; and

Turret Truck.

• Uses radio frequency unit and computers to enter data.
• Disposes of excess cardboard in a baler.
• Assists co-workers with workplace cleanliness and works in a safe manner in a fast paced team environment.

Supervisory Responsibility:



This position is not a supervisor position but may require the training; coaching and mentoring of newly hired or transferred workers.

Work Environment:

• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs;
• Capable of: standing, walking, lifting, carrying, close & peripheral vision, reaching, reaching above shoulder level, grasping, climbing stairs/stools, working on second & third story enclosed work level, working at heights up to 30ft, bending, kneeling, squatting, talking and hearing;
• Work environment is a typical non-air conditioned 250,000 square foot warehouse;
• Air circulating fans;
• Ceiling height up to 40 feet;
• Concrete walking surfaces; and
• Noise levels less than 80dB.

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent are desired.
• Must be able to add, subtract and divide four digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American measurements of weight and volume. Basic computer knowledge, usage and terminology are desired. Must display the ability to read and write basic messages and verbally communicate to fellow workers and supervisors in the English language.
