About this job
The Life Time Academy instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students online and/or in a classroom or laboratory setting. The instructor will ensure student satisfaction and success while aligning with program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Teaches from approved curriculum and augments daily lesson plans
- Participates in student retention initiatives by providing regular, accurate, and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, and performance
- Responsible for activity, lab and test grading
- Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
- Completes professional development and in-service activities in accordance with school standards
- Maintains expertise in subject area and recommends improvements in curriculum design
-Instructs students in laboratory safety procedures if applicable

Qualifications
Recognized standing as a tradesperson or specialist supported by evidence from previous employers, or the possession of a baccalaureate degree in Exercise Science or similar field, Masters Degree preferred
A high school diploma or its equivalent
Three years of full-time, trade, or professional experience in the trade or specialty taught, or successful completion of a college curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree that trade or specialty, or a combination of experience and education in the trade or specialty equivalent to three years of full-time experience
Nationally accredited Certification that is recognized in the respective discipline of instruction.
One or more years of teaching or facilitation experience
Experience working with adult learners
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team
Ability to utilize different methods and mediums in delivering course material
Ability to be a self-starter, goal oriented and organized
Excellent time management, effective communication, follow up, Not just a facilitator, an educator
Ability to work in an e-learning environment
