Let's talk about building a rewarding career

You've got the passion. You've got the skills. Now you just need the right opportunity. At Wells Fargo, you'll have the chance to join a team of smart and talented people who share the same values. Our diverse lines of business offer a world of opportunity to expand your capabilities and advance your career. We invest in our people and provide a supportive environment in which to learn and grow.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) is a nationwide, diversified financial services company with $1.7 trillion in assets. Founded in 1852, Wells Fargo provides banking, insurance, investments, mortgage, and consumer and commercial finance through more than 9,000 locations, more than 12,500 ATMs, online (wellsfargo.com), and mobile devices. Wells Fargo has more than 265,000 team members in 36 countries across our approximately 90 businesses.

Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk areas, including credit risk, operational risk, market risk, reputation risk, and compliance risk.

Corporate Risk strives to ensure that all Wells Fargo corporate functions and lines of business soundly manage risk, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and offer products and services that meet the needs of our customers.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wells Fargo's Corporate Credit Group (a part of the company's Corporate Risk organization) is responsible for overseeing the management, monitoring, and reporting of aggregate credit risk exposures across the company. Corporate Credit also develops, maintains and ensures adherence to enterprise-wide credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with our Board-approved risk appetite. Led by the bank's chief credit officer, Corporate Credit has several core functional teams -- including Commercial Credit Oversight; Consumer Credit Oversight; Credit Capital Allowance & Stress Testing; Real Estate Technical Services; Residential Valuation Services; Risk Asset Review; and Corporate Credit Consulting & Services (where this position will report).

Join Corporate Credit Consulting & Services -- and Help Take Credit Data to the Next Stage

The mission of Corporate Credit Consulting & Services (CCCS) is to create and maintain an infrastructure of accurate and easily accessible credit information -- including independent analysis of risk attributes, trends and reporting -- in order to support our company culture of disciplined and responsible lending and provide stakeholders with the credit knowledge needed to build and protect revenue. A key part of the group's data infrastructure centers around the CAR (Credit Analysis & Reporting) platform, which is Wells Fargo's enterprise repository for aggregated direct loan and lease data. In addition to supporting the data needs of Corporate Credit for analysis and company-level reporting purposes, CAR is a vital "second line of defense" for the proactive monitoring of credit risk across the company.

Key Job Responsibilities

The team member selected for this position will be an integral part of the CAR Program Management team within CCCS. As the breadth of our credit data expands per evolving needs (including those of management, audit, and regulatory partners), this position will focus on enhancing (and in some cases expanding upon) the alignment of CAR data management procedures with our enterprise credit risk framework -- while ensuring ongoing adherence to stringent governance and oversight controls.

Accordingly, this job will include significant analysis of data inflows and outflows, and corresponding issue resolution procedures. In addition, this position will proactively consult with technology and business groups to maximize efficiencies associated with various technical processes.

As regulatory requirements increase and become institutionalized as the "new normal" in our day-to-day workflows, this position will also include some CAR production support, data reconciliation, documentation and process-mapping, and testing as needed.

After obtaining a thorough understanding of CAR functionality and the needs of key stakeholders, this position will also help drive a variety of initiatives designed to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of CAR access requests, data usage agreements, and the maintenance and expansion of training materials over time.
