Construction Safety Monitor needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Fransisco, CA.


The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess:



    - Conduct safety audits, review work practices for compliance
    - Conduct safety meetings
    - Checking for appropriate safety clothing or gear
    - Research construction practices
    - Making sure site is compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations
    - Conduct safety meetings

What You'll Be Doing:



    - Works in either an office environment or on a construction site.
    - Within an office, they set and review health and safety guidelines, safety planning, safety implementation and documentation, in order to minimize accidents and injuries.
    - These professionals will also travel to construction sites to conduct safety audits, review work practices for safety compliance, safety meetings, documents and records of safety practice.
    - This may include checking for appropriate safety clothing or gear, as well as enforcing the display of safety signage.
    - They will work with the owner, staff, be overseen by the company Safety Officer, and subcontractors
    - Construction safety managers may begin a new project by researching the required construction practices for the work to be performed.
    - During this process, managers review blueprints, ventilation systems and lighting.
    - Additionally, these professionals may analyze the materials to be used on site in order to design proper signage and disposal methods.
    - Once research is complete, managers may map out emergency evacuation plans, including locations for fire extinguishers and first-aid kits.
    - Managers may also consult building codes, government regulations and other emergency response agencies in order to ensure that the workplace is compliant with health, safety and environmental regulations.
    - Upon completion, managers may be responsible for presenting and explaining plans, as well as conducting training programs.
    - This program includes tower climbing, beside railway work and electric overhead and third rail systems, high voltage electrical, CAL OSHA, OSHA

What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - Fall protection safety experience
    - Electrical safety safety experience
    - CAL OSHA, OSHA
    - Governmental and state experience
