Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant in our Retail Logistics Business Unit, to be based in our Pittsburgh, PA location. The Senior Accountant will report to the Manager of Finance- Retail.
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform general accounting tasks and financial analysis.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
• Reviewing supporting documentation to ensure all journal entries are entered into the financial system properly.
• Month-end closing processes, account reconciliations and preparation of various financial statement supporting schedules and reports to be submitted to GENCO Corporate Finance.
• Participating in preparation, monitoring and analysis of forecasts and annual budgets against actuals.
• Analyzing information and options by developing spreadsheet reports
• Acting as GRL's financial liaison between the customer and GRL. This individual will be tasked with being the primary financial contact for the customer.
• Completing and distributing monthly operational metrics with operations.
• Maintaining 100% quality work and 100% accuracy levels.

Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting • 6 to 8 years of accounting experience in a large company environment • Strong skills in Excel • Understanding of GAAP • Must be detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well under pressure • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines • Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions • Strong analytical skills • Ability to communicate and act in a professional manner at all times with customers and teammates including senior management • CPA preferred • Experience with financial planning and analysis required
