Experis Engineering is hiring a Manager of Commercial Interiors for an Architectural Firm in Raleigh, NC. The Manager of Commercial Interiors will lead the efforts of the Commercial Interior Design team while working in tandem with the Director of Interior Design. This position will require maintaining and building client relationships, managing the efforts of the Commercial Interior Design studio, assigning tasks to the design team, handling day to day client relations, developing and delivering commercial interior design projects from design and construction documents through the permit process, working with the client and construction teams to see a project through construction, and setting and keeping goals aligned with the firms priorities. The Designer will maintain highest level of design principles and documents for all projects to ensure health, safety & welfare of the public within a space.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 10+ years related experience with commercial/workplace projects
  • NCIDQ certification required
  • Licensed Interior Designer & LEED accreditation preferred
  • Ability to direct project teams in all phases of Commercial Interior Design projects, including; project analysis and programming through design construction documents and construction administration
  • Strong understanding of, and ability to oversee, commercial interior design projects to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical and building systems, codes and ADA requirements
  • Coordinates engineering consultants work to ensure compliance with design solution and timely submission of documents Create and communicate clear and attainable project design, project objectives and project requirements
  • Must have thorough knowledge of current design trends, material selections and workplace strategies and methodologies
  • Ability to multitask, work as part of a team and work independently on multiple projects all at once.
  • Capable of leveraging existing relationships for business development and establishing new relationships and connections
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and presentations
  • Ability to mentor and provide goal setting for immediate commercial interior design staff
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with manufacturers reps, vendors and internal personnel
  • Versatile, self-motivated and articulate
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
