About this job

The Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst will be a key finance contact for the Mesquite M&W team. This person will provide support for the Period End Results, Forecasting, Trend Analysis, Cost Accounting, Compliance auditing, Process improvement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Innovation Growth or Integrated Business Plans.

Responsibilities include:

Support with cost accounting functions including journal entries and Bills Of Materials setup in SAP

Assist with financial processes including period end Inventory support and reconciliation

Support other ad hoc projects and reporting needs

Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure that financial transactions and reports are completed according to GAAP and corporate policy.

Supporting strategic plan and AOP development, including loss analysis

Work closely Finance Supervisor to ensure accuracy and completeness of entries during Period close .

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred (Accounting or Business Administration preferred)

Work Experience:

1 - 2 years of payroll/accounting experience

Skills & Capabilities:

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes

Ability to function well in a team environment

Strong communication skills to manage information gathering requests

Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications

Strong time management skills

Aptitude to work with minimal supervision
