3M is seeking an Advanced EHS Engineer for the Electrical Markets Division (EMD) located in Chelmsford, MA. Be part of what's next!

Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Advanced EHS Engineer will formulate, establish and coordinate effective implementation of all plant health, safety and environmental control programs and activities. This position will support the EHS program and activities at the Chelmsford and EMD Haverhill sites, Health programs at the Tilton site and Environment control activities at the Salem, NH site.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Perform activities to ensure the plants' operations are in compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well pertinent government regulations and company policies and procedures

- Development and implementation of improvements related to the health, safety and environmental control

- Development and implementation of cross-functional projects, plans and programs in support of the business and strategic plans related to EHS

- Proactively communicates project direction and status to appropriate personnel

- Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures and acts in a manner consistent with 3M's values and ethical standards

- Ability to perform root cause analysis and apply systematic problem solving skills

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university

- Minimum two (2) combined years of health, safety or environmental experience in a manufacturing and /or plant environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a Health, Safety and Environmental; Industrial Safety or Environmental Engineering discipline from an accredited university

- Knowledge of government health, safety and environmental regulations as established by agencies such as Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA), etc.

- Experience in leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completion

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills

- Facilitation skills developing team collaboration, identifying and prioritizing business opportunities

Location: Chelmsford, MA

Travel: May include up to 40% domestic
