Watch Assembly Hiring Event - Full-time

Shinola is hosting a recruiting event Tuesday, June 23rd from 9:30AM to 12:00 PM.

We are looking add to our outstanding team of watch assemblers in our one of kind watch factory in the New Center area of Detroit. We have transformed a vacant space into a state of the art watch factory, handcrafting beautiful and quality time pieces.

What you will do:

Assemble and test movements or watches according to specifications, using watchmaker's tools.
Inspects movements or watches for accuracy, diagnoses causes of defects and replaces defective parts.
Make quick and accurate troubleshooting decisions.
Concentrate on a task over long periods of time without being distracted.

What you will need:

Best eyes in the industry! 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision and have the ability to see details and small objects at close range.
Exceptional attention to detail. Able to notice tiny defects: scratches, spots, rust, lint, hair, tarnished metal, dents, deformations, marks on pieces the size of a quarter or smaller.
High School diploma or equivalent
Positive approach and attitude towards work and job requirements
Patient, methodical and process oriented
Eager to learn new skills
These are full time positions that require a high level of dependability and may require overtime
