JOB SUMMARY:

The Security Officer Position control access to buildings and patrols assigned areas to ensure protection of clients, visitors, property and equipment. At this client there are two (2) main types of required security services: fixed post Guard and roving patrol Guard Services. In some locations one Guard may function in both capacities. Responsibilities include:

Fixed Post Guard Services
  • Responsible for controlling the entry and exit of vehicles and personnel, processing visitor passes, issuing and control of permanent passes.
  • Monitoring CCTV and/or the CCURE Client station.
  • Keeping automated/written records on provided forms of any and all action taken, such as maintaining a security log, incident report forms, vehicle entry forms, and special usage logs.
  • Identify and report fire and safety hazards and misappropriation or concealment of Clients property.
  • Enforce rules and regulations as they relate to crime reduction/prevention.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, orderly Guardhouse/post area and its immediate vicinity.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Roving Patrol Guard Services
  • Responsible for prevention and/or detection of intrusion by routine patrol of all perimeter fences, gates, building, warehouses, storage areas, switchyards, and other environs as Client may deem necessary.
  • Identify and report fire hazards, unauthorized activity, malfunctioning utility or equipment, and damage or hazardous conditions.
  • May be required to assist in control of delivery of warehouse material.
  • Roving patrol Guards are responsible for keeping automated/written records on provided forms of any and all action taken, such as maintaining a security log, incident report forms, vehicle entry forms, and special usage logs.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS:
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Communicate effectively with others fluently in English. Read, write and orally.
  • Walk and climb stairs.
  • Walk/stand extended periods of time.
  • Work outside in extreme weather conditions.
  • See and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions.
  • Comprehend policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to respond using discretion and judgment based on general and specific policies.
  • Retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with others.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • React appropriately in emergency situations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 21 years old or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid Arizona State Security Guard Unarmed (We will train qualified and accepted applicants).
  • Must have and maintain a current telephone number.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and reference check.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
