The Visual Merchandising Market Leader works within their assigned market to drive sales by ensuring the company s visual collateral and visual presentation standards support business strategy direction. The position is responsible for elevating the Member Experience by coaching and training store teams through the use of the stores merchandise, collateral, fixtures, and each stores physical components and layout. This position supports the merchandise presentation throughout the store by ensuring visual collateral is properly installed, executed per guidelines and maintained, and incorporates the merchandise standards and/or Brand Shops, Strategies and Typical locations.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Rotates to stores within designated market, working closely with the Visual Merchandising Field Leader to ensure store
implementation of business strategies and the National Presentation Standards, working with store teams to accomplish high Visual standards in each area (Softlines and Hardlines).
* Participates in Training Workshops with the Visual Merchandising Field Leader in an effort to cascade current business strategies including seasonal business initiatives, brochure and MSP direction, as well as National Presentation Standards.
* Understands and utilizes business communications such as the Monthly Sales Plan, Daily Net Sales Report, and other
communication tools for placement of visual collateral elements, product selection for forms, ladders, mannequins and displays, and merchandise presentation.
* Guides store associates regarding selection of displayed merchandise and visual collateral in order to maintain the visual
presentation.
* Understands floor layout and product adjacency flow, working with the Store Team to ensure proper placement and product
selection.
* Assists Store Team with understanding back wall merchandise presentation, visual collateral placement, and execution.
* Offers suggestions on the presentation of all merchandise at mall entrances, visual display windows, and other key focal areas throughout the store ensuring stores execute to company standard.
* Communicates successes, opportunities, and provides solutions to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager that will enhance the Member Experience for the store and company.
* Provides constant and consistent feedback via Store Recaps to the Visual Merchandising Field Leader in an effort to track success or provide solutions for improvement.
* Participates and assists with store projects and store tests to ensure the success of an initiative within designated market.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* 2 -3 years of visual merchandise retail experience.
* Field position requiring up to 100% travel within designated market.
* Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and units.
* Demonstrates a high level of visual merchandising skills.
* Time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills (verbal and written) needed to communicate to all levels of
management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Photo taking and photo editing skills required.
* Ability to collaborate and work as a team partner / team player.
* Flexibility and easily able to adapt to a changing business environment.
* Ability to facilitate and train.
* Stays abreast of competition within the market by shopping competitors, and reviews fashion and trend publications which in turn provide an opportunity to share fresh alternatives to improve business results and drive sales.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Two-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
