As a La Boulange Catering Driver you are the fact of La Boulange Catering. Delivering orders to guests accurately, on time and with great customer service are essential. When driving or walking an order, drivers are expected to act courteously.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Ensures customer satisfaction with each and every customer contact. Leads by example with interacting with customers. Takes care of guest in the moment.

Knows the products and vehicle/machinery/equipment. Learns about vehicle and driving expectations. Learns about each product and its ingredients. Understands how to operate oven and coffee machine.

Understands the importance of accurate and on time deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. Follows loading and delivery expectations. Receives and completes check out accurately. Owns the order until it is properly delivered to the customer.

Is flexible with work schedule. Understands the necessity to work different days and times in order to deal with the needs of the business. Is able to work weekends, week days, mornings and afternoons.

Communicates to the Catering Office and the Catering Driver Supervisor when there are issues with the deliveries.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Adheres to health code. Works with gloves and appears clean when working in the kitchen. Keeps all kitchen areas clean and organized. Uses proper storage techniques when storing dry goods and refrigerated goods.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to work weekends and mid-day shifts if needed.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
