Presently WIS International is seeking a highly motivated US Controller to join our team.

Under the general supervision of the Vice President & CFO, this position exists to direct the activities pertaining to the monthly financial close, general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, billing, and maintenance of internal control. Positions reporting directly to the Controller include Accounting Manager, Billing Manager, Payroll Manager and Accounts Receivable and Fleet staff.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close, which includes the review and approval of accounting entries and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate annual audit with public accounting firm.
  • Provide direction and oversight of work performed by Accounting Department personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures. Oversee the development, revision, communication and implementation of operating policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SOX compliance.
  • Lead and support assigned staff including: recruitment, selection, training, development, measuring/appraising/reviewing performance and retention.
  • Develop and communicate business plans, objectives and goals as related to general accounting functions such as payables, payroll, billing and general accounting.
  • Partner with CFO and other senior management members to drive business objectives and initiatives focused on profitable growth while at the same time improving working capital metrics.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L financial analysis.
  • Identify problem areas, opportunities for improvement, and propose and implement changes to operating procedures on both a departmental level and company level.


JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Education: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration or related curriculum. Although not required, a CPA and/or MBA is highly desirable.



Experience: Requires 7-10 years related experience, of which a minimum of 3-5 years should have been served in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Requires Microsoft office experience including advanced Excel skills.

Skills:
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the company in terms and concepts appropriate for that level.
  • Overall skills and knowledge of mathematical and accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with EPICOR accounting software and FRx reporting software.
  • Time management skills to effectively schedule and meet company demands.
  • Experience with the development, implementation and operation of internal accounting controls and process improvements.
  • Ability to quickly provide sound solutions to a variety of problems, issues, and concerns that surface regarding the overseeing the entire organization processes.
  • Ability to provide organization leadership and foster a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
