Description

Manage the gathering of employee data related to time worked from variable sources in accordance with prescribed standards to produce an accurate and timely payroll.

  • Must be able to meet critical deadlines and adapt to circumstances beyond control Validate and ensure completeness of time records in the timekeeping system, Kronos
  • Audit branch payroll files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Application of ‘work rules’ to include overtime and other earning according to Federal and State rules, company policy or union contractual rules.
  • Capable of adapting ‘work rules’ to SAP system set up to obtain desired results.
  • Excel expertise is necessary as the input source. Be able to process and balance all internal inputs such as commissions, vacations, hours worked etc.
  • Responsible for cost center/pay overrides as necessary.
  • Maintain vacation/sick accruals.
  • Will review payroll previews to validate payroll results.
  • Use of SAP HR System for problem resolution. Will be tier 1 support for the managers and HR regarding employee time reporting.
  • Will work cross functionally with the HR Services processing center to provide information necessary to correctly pay employees.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Provide support for external and internal audits related to time cards based on rules from DOL.
  • Process and maintain payroll information with strict security safeguards and confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED + minimum of some college-level finance or analytics course work completed
  • 3 years work experience in timekeeping or payroll, utilizing a computerized payroll system (SAP, ADP or PeopleSoft)
  • 3 years of experience with Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables) and SAP
  • 1 year of 10 key experience
