The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following:

*Establish and develop quality improvement programs
*Work with other departments to establish, track and analyze quality metrics; report results monthly to management
*Perform root cause analysis of failures and process escapes and independently drive changes and improvements back to the source.
*Maintenance and evolution of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS), including Corrective Actions and audits
*Supplier management for Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCA) and mechanical assemblies: establish metrics, perform first article inspections, oversee yield improvement programs
*Review drawings/documents and prototypes during design stages; critique and challenge designs based on best practices and experience
*Develop, implement, and maintain quality control programs and procedures to assure product and material quality, including quality inspection programs for incoming and final approval of material and products
*Manage the internal Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) program
*Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings; analyze non-conforming material and recommend and drive a path to improvements

Qualifications: *Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline. (Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer preferred)
*7 years related work experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
*Advanced knowledge of PCA assembly, test and inspection processes, and IPC standards.
*Advanced experience with managing quality improvement programs and suppliers.
*Intermediate experience with inspection tools.
*Advanced experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
*Intermediate experience with ISO 9001:2008 and audits.
*Intermediate experience with statistical concepts and data collection system.
*Ability to read schematics, engineering documents and assembly drawings.
*Intermediate experience in supervising technicians and priorities a plus.
*Basic understanding of Compliance and Environmental standards is preferred.
*Basic understanding of RF measurements and cell phone technologies is preferred.
*American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification is preferred.
*Advanced verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
*Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
*Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
*Intermediate Internet skills.
*Intermediate skills interacting cross functionally with various departments especially Development, Production, and Product Management.
*Intermediate Presentation skills.
