We're currently seeking a Drafter 2 for a contract opportunity in West Chicago, IL . This is a great opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading suppliers of a wide range of products, solutions and services in the field of energy technology.
Works within a fast paced team of mechanical designers to create mechanical solutions for Motor Control Centers (MCC). Collaborates with inter-organization departments to ensure designs are both designed for manufacture and meet customer requirements. Uses NX and Teamcenter software to create sheet metal and copper parts. Creates and works with mechanical assemblies. Communicates with external vendors as needed to receive technical product information. Reports to mechanical design manager as part of the MCC order engineering department. Accountable for the accuracy and functionality of created designs and drawings.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
Technical Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training. Experience using NX 3D modeling software.
