Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for a Regional Operations Support (ROSI) role to assist in supporting the successful operation of Sodexo food service programs for Manor Care Nursing Homes in the Philadelphia, PA region. This position requires extensive travel and some travel may require overnight stays depending on location. Schedule will vary depending on assignment. This is a temporary position to last six months up to one year.
The selected individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day dining services operations and financial performance of the account. The ROS Manager position will also assume temporary assignments serving as the in-unit General Manager, will offer support to GMs including training, food production standards, sanitation compliance, tray line efficiencies and cost analysis/control. Project work such as implementation of updated meal service for residents will require strong leadership abilities. The best qualified candidate will have demonstrated experience managing dining services operations and a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is desired. Serve Safe Certification is required and prior healthcare and/or senior services food service experience preferred. Thorough understanding of all regulatory standards needed to assist GM with deficiency-free department of health inspections essential.
The selected individual will provide effective leadership while driving tactical initiatives to exceed resident and client expectations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all planning and organizing and implementation activities fully support the Sodexo Brand. They will work closely with each client, and the Area General Managers and/or District Managers in all matters relating to account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention.

Position Summary
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
