Work autonomously in an intense hospital environment - without

the typical hospital routine. Provide the highest level of care servicing five

hospitals within the Des Moines, IA area and ensure your patients' safety,

comfort, and well-being. As a nurse at

DaVita Hospital Services you are on your toes working in a fast-paced,

constantly evolving environment with new challenges to troubleshoot and

What can you expect as an acute dialysis nurse at DaVita?

Patients - Help your patients, when they need it the most.

Patient care is our top priority, and we look for teammates who

share our commitment to Service Excellence as well as Continuous Improvement. As

an acute dialysis nurse, you will build your career in nephrology by learning

multiple modalities: hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT.

Independence - Manage your patients on your own in a hospital

setting.

As a nurse in the hospital setting you will have the opportunity

to work independently providing 1:1 patient care, as well as work on a team in

our dialysis suites. Each day you assess, troubleshoot, and make sound

decisions for critical patients. What an exciting challenge to take on.

Intensity - Expect the unexpected.

No two days are the same for an acute dialysis nurse. The

setting is dynamic and each patient's needs are unique. When you walk in the

door each day you don't know what patients you might have - their condition,

when you will get them or when you will be done for the day.

The shining star in this role should have:

Current

and valid RN license in the state of IA

Graduate

of an accredited nursing program required 12

months' or more RN experience is preferred Dialysis

experience is preferred but not necessary---we can train strong nurses in

all dialysis modalities Current

CPR certification required Medical/surgical,

ICU, CCU, or ER experience (preferred) Experience

assessing, troubleshooting and making sound recommendations in stressful

situations Flexibility

like a gymnast - okay, not literally. What we mean is someone who

thrives in an environment that is constantly changing and will face new

challenges head-on Flexibility is a MUST ;

will be servicing multiple Hospitals with dialysis treatments;

scheduling will vary and must be able to work "on call" rotation

and overtime as required. Excellent

communication skills to listen and communicate with patients, teammates,

physicians, and hospital staff Multitasking

skills, with great time management and prioritizing capabilities Basic

computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
