The Multicultural Marketing Manager is responsible for in-market articulation and implementation of national, regional and local brand-marketing strategies related to key multicultural consumers. He or she will ensure that marketing plans are strategically aligned and contribute to the achievement of the market unit’s annual goals and initiatives. The position works closely with the other Multicultural Marketing Managers, as well as the Multicultural Marketing Director to ensure alignment across the market units and with the corporate marketing organization. This person identifies core focus areas throughout their assigned territory that represent opportunities to improve multicultural brand health and improve brand recruitment. They oversee communication and execution of national, regional and local Multicultural Marketing initiatives, as well as recommendation of specific initiatives that are market relevant.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifying local market multicultural opportunities in order to execute culturally relevant marketing plans and increase sales within assigned territories.
  • Developing local multicultural marketing plans that are consistent with corporate brand-marketing strategies.
  • Ensuring that programs contribute to brand health, while providing sales with the selling tools needed to outperform the competition in key markets.
  • Effectively manage their budget; communicate programs to local sales organization; evaluate execution and provide feedback to both the sales organization and marketing organization.
  • Developing key multicultural marketing alliances and overseeing special events within local communities.
  • Working with the Marketing Director to ensure the organization or event is consistent with brand positioning.
  • Communicating an activation plan to the local market unit sales team to develop POS (Point of Sales) and signage.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the activation in enhancing overall brand health while driving incremental sales.
  • Managing and maintaining sound financial and budgetary processes and fiscal responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience developing and executing marketing plans for multicultural markets - preferably with AACM and Hispanic markets
  • 4-5 years marketing/sales experience within a consumers good company
  • 3 years’ experience within a similar role using a broad range of marketing tools including budgeting, business analysis, merchandising, direct marketing and electronic marketing as well as market research and analysis
  • The ability to travel up to 30%
  • The ability to lift 30 lbs. and walk for extended periods of time
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Spanish Language is a plus.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required
