Quality Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

The QE will be responsible for making sure that the product quality requirements are identified and implemented so that they meet the customer requirements. Performing poke-yoke check sheets, recognizing defective parts, and reporting within the company system.

They must ensure the systems & criteria are developed, documented, and maintained for consistent quality assurance. A good amount of work will be on the line and handling supplier issues such as managing containment (instruction sheets, HDRs, etc.) They are looking for someone who is analytical.

Some responsibilities will include:
-make sure customer concerns & requirements are understood and communicated
-access the Honda portal daily to review customer concerns
-evaluate nonconforming material and identifies and reports on quality problems or trends for suppliers
-assist in the preparation of 8-Ds, 5Ps, PPSCs, and present the reports to the team members
-control product quality through the development and use of PFMEAs, Control Pans, Process Flow Charts, SPC, Operator Description Sheets, Quality Alerts, and creating Quality Gates into the production assembly process
-containment on customer/supplier quality issues and at customer/supplier
-perform 5S audits, quality auditing, and safety audits with all lines on a monthly basis and follow up all nonconformance with Quality Manager
-recommend corrective actions and reports on corrective action status
-support product launches
-develop benchmarking and continuous improvement activities
-monitor assembly operations to determine compliance
-will work with 7-9 Quality Auditors and 2 Quality Techs

First day expectations of this position would be to be assertive and inquisitive because they will be paired with a more senior QE to shadow and follow. The senior QE will catch the individual up to speed on the facilities practices and the job.
