Export Clerk

- Must have industry experience (export/transportation/logistics)
- Responsible for the export of US Military HHG's (HouseHoldGoods to overseas destinations.

- Must have export with export ocean shipment experience

- Responsible for the upkeep of weekly reports for upper management
- Communicate with dispatch and warehouse regarding steamship line equipment (ordering of empties for loading, communicate to dispatch daily needs for steamship line equipment)

- Makes loads, co-loads of freight with other port agents

- Check BLS's against cards, general OBL's

- Makes all bookings with steamship lines and rail billing with railroads.

- Match up cards with flimsies for unload sheets and check unload sheets to clear drivers for settlement.

- Inventory; request paperwork from carriers, notify carriers of freight in warehouse over 5 days.

- Must prioritize to keep department in order.

- Communication skills are essential to be successful in this position.

- Attendance and punctuality very important
- Must work well with others.
- Computer skills
