PPG Architectural Coatings is a respected leader in the paint industry. Reporting into the National Sales Manager for PPG AC’s Walmart business, this position will manage all aspects of account sales for the paint business for our strategic retail customer.

This position will help develop, direct, implement and communicate an account strategy for the Walmart account, The position will assist with current and long term sales growth plans and financial management (P&L) of the account along with the day-to-day interaction with the customer (external and internal), marketing, supply chain & replenishment, field sales, and customer service. The position will be located in Rogers, AR.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Provide main point of contact for D12 Snr Buyer

  • Establish and foster relationships with all levels of Walmart Management (including Merchandising, Supply Chain, Planning, Marketing) to develop the executional effectiveness of the Walmart team

  • Develop and implement category sales strategy through Walmart’s line review process, including regional sales opportunities

  • Manage daily analytical activities and performance reviews for sales analyst

  • Monthly account planning and forecasting

  • Analyze Walmart product and productivity performance

  • Collect and process competitor data to grow the account effectively


Qualifications

Requires:

  • Undergraduate 4-year business degree, MBA preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years of account management/sales experience (some previous experience with Walmart required)

  • Well-developed understanding of Walmart’s merchandising principles and processes

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Demonstrated background in business analytics and computer skills

  • Solid understanding of Marketing (preferably retail/consumer)

  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with external and internal customers
