They need to be very familiar with CUDA and be able to take our existing analysis and port that to the GPU using CUDA and possibly a small amount of DirectX to tie the managed part of the application with the unmanaged part. They should also be able to create a "platform" where further CUDA development is possible by simply adding the necessary code to perform the analysis. In other words any memory management and other housekeeping work is done. They should also have strong knowledge about video processing. Some examples would be: 1) Efficient analysis of specific regions of the frame for changes when compared to a reference frame; 2) The mathematical skills to be able to implement the best algorithm's for pattern recognition; 3) Understanding of how to observe a region of the frame for changes and identifying what the change might be.
