Sodexo has partnered with the SAN JOSE, Job Corps Center in SAN JOSE, California. This location has 400 residents, ages from 16 to 24 year olds, serving breakfast lunch and dinner Mon-Friday and brunch and dinner on weekends and holidays in a campus environment.
Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labo r that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.
SAN JOSE, Corps Center, supports the Job Corps program's mission of teaching eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education.
SAN JOSE, Job Corps offers hands-on career technical training as well as academic training and can also help in earning a GED or high school diploma
The Ideal Food Production Manager will have experience:
Providing culinary leadership, development and training to ensure continual high quality culinary standards As an organized, detail oriented leader with strong customer and communication skills As a hands on culinary/kitchen manager in a high volume, multi-meal production environment With food production, ordering, inventory and menu planning Maintaining HACCP standards, safety training & ongoing culinary team development
Position Summary
Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
