A successful Program Manager will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree with IT emphasis preferred; minimum of 4 to 5 years of related IT experience.  Telecommunications, cable and/or satellite billing system experience required; PMP desired 
  • Familiarity with CSG Systems’ CCS/ACP software package or like software packages and addressable interfaces for the satellite, cable and/or telecommunications industry for video, data and voice is a plus.
  • Most possess a high level of self-initiative, drive and motivation, along with organizational skills, while being an effective team player, with a high level of accountability and ownership. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate across all departments and organizations. Must be able to clearly identify, define and orchestrate resolution of critical path and long lead issues/items.
  • Must possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.  Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers and outside vendors.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills particularly with MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.

 

The Senior Program Manager works closely with IT Program Managers, business partners, IT technical resources and our billing vendor to plan and execute billing system projects for enterprise-level software releases. 

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Works closely with the billing vendor’s billing analysts/architects, IT’s billing analysts/development resources and business partners to drive projects from inception of requirements gathering sessions through implementation, while following IT’s SDLC process.
  • Plans the validation of the billing system enhancements, interfaces, financial reporting and/or statement generation as part of post implementation activities, by working closely with business partners and IT staff.
  • Works closely with the billing vendor, business partners and the project team to proactively identify and reach consensus on complex and escalating open issues, with an eye towards quick, satisfactory resolution, while minimizing project exposure.
  • Manages multiple and/or large projects ensuring that stated objectives are met for timing, quality, and cost.
  • Manages the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned project.  Including tracking schedules, issues, tasks, communications, production ticket tracking and resolution.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate across all departments across the organization.
