HVAC Field Technician

Aerotek is in search of a Mobile Maintenance Technician for one of our clients in Chattanooga, TN. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for traveling to different locations for their BB&T accounts.

This is a 6 week long position to fill in for a permanent employee who will be out so it isn't a long term opportunity but it is a good chance to get your foot in the door with a growing company with great benefits and career path options.

This Mobile Maintenance Technician will be responsible for handling all work orders (maintenance calls) for these sites. This person will work by themselves and need to interface with the client 100% of the time. This means answering any calls that the client has, scheduling site visits, responding to work orders, and then handling all maintenance issues. Some of the maintenance duties include but are not limited are: troubleshooting/repairing/doing PM (preventative maintenance on HVAC units (Roof Top Units/Split Systems is a must), minor electrical 120v issues (example chaning balances), repairing or troubleshooting water sourced heat pumps, VAV boxes and other duties such as repairing/replacing locks on doors, fixing doors, fixing bathroom toilet issues, replacing sink facets, under the counter water heaters, etc.

Percentage Breakdown:

• 60% HVAC roof top Units/Split Systems & Electrical
• 20% plumbing (fixing sinks, dishwashers, etc)
• Driving 20% because of traffic/parking
• Customer Service 100% they are the face of the client
• Spread sheets/computer skills: all work orders come in on a tablet and navigate it.
• After Preventative Maintenance inspections they will fill out a form and take pictures, put in comments, etc.

Work Environment:
Will be working at a bank (BB&T) so this is a very quiet and professional working site. They will be also working banker hours so on site from 9am - 5pm and will be traveling to Cleveland and Chattanooga areas.

Qualifications:

• High School Dimploma or GED
• 2+years of mobile maintenance experience (service not stationary)
• Experience working with HVAC units (Roof Top Units/Split Systems is a must), minor electrical 120v, Water Sourced Heat Pumps, VAV boxes, General Maintenance such as repairing locks on doors, fixing doors, bathroom toilet issues, replacing sink facets, under the counter water heaters, etc.
• Experience working with some type of work order management system.
• Must have been a mobile technician before and must have a good driving record since you will be driving company car.
