ESL Teacher-Tutor (Banning)

Cruz Language Academy is a private school owned and operated in Palm Desert, California since 2013. At this moment, we are looking for a qualified and effective instructor to teach English as a Second Language face-to-face in Banning, California 92220, USA.

JOB DESCRIPTION: To teach English as a Second Language face-to-face and in a small group approach. Implement the Cruz Language Academy's academic standards, curriculum, textbook/workbook, and complementary materials. Lessons will take place at the student's job-site from 3-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A written contract will be signed up between the Cruz Language Academy and the professor (as an independent contractor) before starting the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS: The right candidate must:

- Be a native English speaker or a native-like second language learner.

- Be bilingual English-Spanish.

- Have an Associate, Certificate, Bachelor or higher degree in English, English as a Second Language, linguistics, literature, education, etc.*

- Have a reliable transportation and the willingness to travel to students' location.

- Be available to work twice a week (2 hr. session)

- Have a background check or the willingness to complete it.

*Working as a school teacher and having a valid teaching credential is a plus.
