Inventory Specialist

Duties

Issue supplies, materials, and equipment to employees

Manually pull from work orders and job sheet take offs. Works in advance of field crews and service crews to ensure material is properly accounted for.

Receives delivered material, supplies , and equipment. Confirms that delivered goods, matches purchase order, specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc. Completes all necessary paperwork for stock items, received and input counts into company software.

Receives ,returns material stock items, determines suitability of material for restocking.

Utilizes computer software and barcode scanner to properly account for issues, returns,receipts of new materials and back orders, adheres to strict procedures in this area.

Conducts cycle counts of inventory materials based upon computer re-ordering listings. Assists in conducting complete physical inventory count annually.

Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory ; yard areas for efficient material storage and handling. Maintains labeling system on each item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.

Maintains , records, and coordinates the periodic safety inspections and testing of equipment.

Operates indoor and outdoor lifts, equipment, and other necessary vehicles and equipment to properly handle material s being received, issued, stocked and picked.

Provides material coordination of delivery of material to field sites.

Working knowledge of inventory control practices, working knowledge of tools, supplies, equipment used in the construction and maintenance of plumbing operations. Considerable knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials.
