Medical Coder - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently seeking career-driven, certified or pre-certified medical coders to support the central billing office of one of our prominent clients in the Louisville area. In this position you will review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information that determines Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance payments. The primary function of this position is to perform ICD-9-CM (soon to be ICD-10), CPT and HCPCS coding for reimbursement.

Qualifications:

• Must have and maintain or be willing to obtain Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through AAPC or must have and maintain CCA, CCS or CCS-P certification through AHIMA.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for physician offices.
• Strict attention to detail in both coding and EMR entries.
• Any experience in medical revenue cycle is preferred.
