As an IT Audit & Security Manager, you will be accountable for leading the execution of the operational audits associated with our risk assessment program for UnitedHealth Group and its family of companies. This position will be part of Information Risk Management (Information Risk Strategy & Compliance Governance).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead portions of the overall risk assessment plan


• Facilitate planning testing and determine scope and approach based on the risk assessments


• Manage teams - assign work to team members, ensure audit procedures address the objectives of the risk assessment program, and review required documentation for adherence to the department standards and guidelines. Review all testing results and related conclusions


• Review draft reports, work with management to finalize issues, report content and remediation plans


• Set performance expectations of team members; provide coaching throughout the testing process, deliver formal feedback at the end of each testing activity


• Manage several team members who will directly report to you, including performance reviews, skills assessment & development and career mentoring


• Lead advisory projects to improve business systems/processes, identification of emerging risks, and make recommendations to improve the control design and operating effectiveness/efficiency or comply with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent IT audit experience


• 5 plus years of IT Security auditing experience


• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and establish credibility with business partners  


• Ability to develop and manage relationships with different management levels within the organization


• Ability to coach and mentor IT testing Leads and staffs


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• History of making a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities quickly


• Strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Assets:

• A diverse skill base in both IT auditing and information systems


• IT security certifications (e.g. CISSP CISA, and/or CIA certification)


• Managed healthcare or insurance industry experience
