About this job
Responsible for assessing a healthcare facility's nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes
Plans, organizes, coordinate asn evaluates chest pain services at Porter Regional Hospital
Assumes 24-hour responsibility for coordination of quality nursing care of chest pain patients
Assists medica director with administration of chest pain services in collaboration with subspecialties, medical teams and ancillary services to ensure comprehensive care to all related patients
Provides clinical direction to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care programs
Ensures nursing staff maintains an established level of clinical competency
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of tasks
Coordinates community outreach programs related to chest pain
Leads and directs the work of others
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department Education:
Master's Degree; Clinical Nurse Specialist
Required:
Current State Licensure as a RN
ALCS current certification (or within one year of employment)
CPR
Preferred:
2-3 years of progressively more responsible experience in nursing leadership
3-5 years clinical experience in critical care
