SALARY: $10.00-$10.50 hr
JOB DESCRIPTION: Beaverton manufacturing company is seeking to add multiple assemblers to their team. This is a temporary position expected to last 6-8 months. Day shift and Swing Shift positions available. Duties include but are not limited to: • General duties as a production associate working within assigned teams including line set-ups and changeovers. • Demonstrate the ability to perform successfully in a team environment. • Support ISO 13485 and FDA requirements including a fundamental understanding of the MPE Quality Policy. • Support Micro Power’s Quality Objectives. • Participation in continuous improvement events. • Support the principles of Lean Manufacturing excellence. • Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner, follow safety rules and work in accordance with established techniques to avoid immediate or cumulative injuries. • Participation in clean up and general housekeeping tasks. • Participate in the exercise/stretching program. • Must have working knowledge of ESD procedures. • Must demonstrate accuracy in completing MPE forms, documents and data bases. • Must complete all training requirements of Production Temporary and Associate Assembler • Must demonstrate understanding of all MPE written instructions, training documents and procedures • Must have knowledge and skill to perform production processes (e.g. gluing, taping, and welding) with proven level of high quality while keeping pace with assembly line. • Verbal and written English language skills. • Must be able to comprehend MPE documents and processes instructions. • High School Education or equivalent. • Under the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to customer at the Beaverton, OR facility must provide documentation verifying their status as a “U.S. Person”. Candidates chosen for this assignment will need to be able to produce the necessary documentation to prove s/he is a U.S. Person. (Please attach the ITAR form with the candidate submittal). • Criminal background check and drug screen may be required. The Associate Assembler position requires the ability to: • Lift/carry 35 pounds Intermittently (less than 1 hour). • Sit or stand continuously for entire shift (up to 10 hours). • Use of arms, hands and fingers for grasping, squeezing and fine manipulation continuously for entire shift (up to 10 hours). • Must be able to effectively communicate with others. • Operate a foot control continuously for entire shift (up to 10 hours).
