Donations Receiving Shift Supervisor

Location : North Retail Store

Status : Full-time

Must have open/flexible availability Mon-Sun

Pay : $9.50 / hr

We Pay for Performance

Possibility of a pay increase to $10.00/hr

Upon solid performance review rating at the 90 day performance evaluation

Position Overview

You will work with a team of retail and operations professionals and help ensure we make the best use of our resources to help achieve our mission. We prefer you are a team player, professional who is willing to "roll up the sleeves!”

Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :

· Oversee donation services, donation receiving associates and customer service.

· Give directives as well as constructive feedback to employees while delegating tasks.

· Open/close donation service area including placement of signs, unlocking of donation service doors, prepping the donations area with necessary equipment for the day.

· Act as Manager-On-Duty as necessary, being able to make decisions and have final say.

· Meet donation collection goals for the day, and empower associates to meet their daily/work goals.

· Count and upkeep of donations tally and customers served on a daily basis, to include daily count reports.

· Supervisor the donations area and associates, material handler associates, and oversee customer carry-outs, loading/unloading of vehicles and customer assistance/service.

· Providing excellent Customer Service, assisting with difficult customers, assisting with furniture and other large purchases or assisting customers to their vehicles with purchases.

Qualifications :
  • A positive, empowering role model.
  • Familiar with material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving and product procedures and processes.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred, to include scheduling, goal setting, task delegation, etc.
  • To be a high-energy, positive thinker.
  • Able to move and think quickly.
  • To bring a sense of urgency.
  • Desire to work hard and perform well with dedication and great work ethic.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and other associates.
