Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor of Beverage, the Bartender serves alcoholic beverages within department and state liquor law guidelines. Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients in accordance to company policies. Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change following all company policies. Maintains a clean, organized and fully stocked area in accordance to company policies.

Essential Job Functions:

* Provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers. (2 minute or less production cycle for 15 drink tray)

* Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required

* Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures

* Maintains clean and stocked workstation

* Operates a cash register, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.

* Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines

* Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos

* Promotes casino events and programs

* Works closely with Total Rewards to promote new card sign up programs.

* Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar porters, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor

* Provides personalized service and uses guest name

* Resolves service problems according to guidelines

* Integrates "Flair Bartending" skills into normal production sequences. These skills include but are not limited to:

* Spinning shaker tins

* Flipping shaker tins

* Flipping the shaker tin behind the back

* Multi pouring with shaker tins

* Reverse bottle grabs

* Th e glass toss

* The garnish toss

* Flipping bo

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

* Must be 21 years of age

* Read, write legibly, understand and speak English

* Excellent customer service/communication skills

* Count money and change correctly

* Know cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques

* Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

* Must maintain high appearance standards as prescribed by Beverage department.

Education and Work Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED required

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:

* Must be able to work independently.

* Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).

* Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.

* Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.

* Respond to visual and aural cues.

* Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

* Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.

* Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

* Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.

* Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Englis
