A successful Senior Manager will have the following:

 

  • Five plus years of Contact/Call Center/Customer Care experience, one or two years acquisition experience in a Call Center or call center management environment, one to two years entertainment, and three plus years of managerial experience
  • Marketing experience or knowledge of campaign/program management in a marketing environment is highly desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Must have proven negotiation skills
  • Must be able to see detail as well as big picture and recognize impact a new idea or project could potentially have on existing policy and procedure or sales goals and/or KPIs
  • Identify areas of opportunity and trends through gathering feedback and conducting data analysis
  • Strong ability to deliver work efficiently through formal and informal channels; display broad understanding of business practices and policies
  • Project management skills and be able to manage in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work well in a matrixed organization that is extremely fast paced with heavy competition for scarce resources is required

The Senior Telemarketing Manager is responsible for managing the development of inbound telesales programs in conjunction with creative/copywriting and other marketing teams so that they are properly executed in a call center Sales environment. The role is critical in identifying all areas that must be addressed in their execution in partner and internal site locations including scripting, sales forecasting, marketing calendar, a/b testing, measurements and KPI management, reporting, incentives, and other in-bound telemarketing areas. The role will ensure that agents who handle sales calls have the necessary materials to be successful in acquiring (converting) subscribers. A critical component of this role is the ability to build relationships and influence decisions and execution as these initiatives must be managed through multiple teams.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Schedule and lead meetings with marketing and care to stay current on the marketing direction and vision and provide feedback to ensure alignment between vision and telesales goals
  • Partner with internal customer care and/or marketing organizations to negotiate and assist with change implementation to programs, training, scripting, processes and procedures ensuring internal sales agent success
  • Work with partner and site management contacts to communicate and hand off marketing plans and goals so they can be translated to operations plans
  • Gathers, reviews and monitors marketing program feedback, performs data analysis, and provides reporting back to marketing about campaign effectiveness, and identifies remediation plans or recommendations where needed
  • Reviews and provides feedback on agent training, scripting and communications to promote success and alignment with marketing vision and sales goals
