The DISH Indirect Marketing team is accountable for the strategy, growth, and development of all marketing initiatives for the DISH Authorized Retailer channel.  The DISH Indirect Sales channel is made up of over 4,000 national and local sales partners and drives almost half of DISH business every year. This is an exciting time to be a part of the DISH Indirect Marketing business as there is renewed focus on continuing to grow, expand and learn from the channel and focus on the local customers it supports.

This is a high-energy role for a well-rounded business professional that can hit the ground running and drive results immediately. This role is demanding given the dynamic market landscape and new marketing challenges, and will allow the right candidate the opportunity to make a big impact in a short time as they grow a critical channel for DISH. 

 

A successful Assistant Brand Manager will have the following:

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across various functional groups including sales, marketing, finance, and legal, as well as external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team partnership and promote enthusiasm.
  • Must be results oriented and have an understanding of metrics and data, as well as the ability to infer implications and make recommendations based on key information.
  • Experience working with ad-builder platforms and agencies a plus, as well as prior retailer/sales management experience.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and ever changing environment with a high capacity to multi-task and handle tight deadlines on a daily basis, and a proven track record of communicating effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tiered four-year college or university required; MBA preferred or equivalent of 4 years relevant experience. 

The Assistant Brand Manager provides ongoing marketing support for the Indirect Sales Channel. This includes communication with internal and external partners, creative development, drafting and executing local marketing test plans to optimize creative offerings, and creating reporting to analyze the Indirect business, all to drive activation goals and meet local retailer needs.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute marketing strategy and creative tactic development to meet overall business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Contribute to the growth of the DISH subscriber base by producing effective creative that aggressively drives new activations for the Indirect channel.
  • Coordinate marketing and manage sales/partner relationships.
  • Ability to think strategically about both customer and market information at the local level.
  • Create and analyze key marketing data (sales, trends, consumer insights, etc.) that will inform the creation, development and execution of marketing projects.
