About this job
We are hiring THREE special education teachers for the 2015-2016 school year. We are a Therapeutic Day School that serves approximately 70 students with varying disabilities (ED, ID, MD, TBI, OHI, Autism). All of our students require therapeutic services to help remediate their behaviors in an effort to return them to the public school setting.
Our school motto is: Creating Opportunities that Cultivate Potential. We believe in each of our students and believe that our team of staff can make a difference in their lives. We would love for you to join our team!
We have the following special education teacher positions available:
1. Middle School Teacher (grades 6-8)
2. High School Teacher (grades 9-12)
3. High School Teacher (grades 9-12)
Applicants must be able to write and implement fun and engaging lesson plans in the classroom. Must have verbal skills to deescalate a student, and good classroom management skills.
Benefits Include: Health Insurance, Dental (optional), vacation, personal/sick time
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm
Start dates begin July 13th and go through August 10th.
- Must have 4 year degree.
- Must have eligibility certificate, or be provisional license eligible.
- Must have some experience working with students with disabilities.
- Have some knowledge and abilities in area of behavior management
- Must have a passion to see students fulfill their potential and possibly return to public school.
