The Registered Nurse functions under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. The RN assures provision of family centered care to an assigned patient population in a professional manner, utilizing the nursing process and the principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members. The Registered Nurse supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.

1. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.

2. Current license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas

3. Possess current BLS certification upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment

4. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

5. 100% score on medication test - employee will have two chances to pass exam with remediation material available 6. ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).

7. Completion of annual EKG arrhythmia interpretation competency with a minimum score of 85
