Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Job - Full-time / Part-time

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Durham, NC.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Perform a variety of general repairs, installations and maintenance on facility equipment, building and utility systems such as high-pressure steam, chilled water, purified water, air & gas lines, electrical distribution and controls, refrigeration equipment, alarms and fire protection systems, piping, tubing, pumps, motors, etc
- May operate and maintain boiler, chiller, purified water and building automation equipment and maintain required record of operations.
- Perform routine chemical analysis of boiler feed and chilled water and re-circulation water.
- Inspect equipment for proper lubrication and perform other preventative maintenance duties.
- Check out problem areas, making repairs and adjustments using the maintenance work order system.
- May assist with repairers and maintenance of production equipment.
- Performs daily maintenance and/or repairs on facility and associated equipment with minimum supervision.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance to meet schedule demands.
- Perform analysis of facility / equipment operations and/or processes for continuous improvement in quality, safety and/or efficiencies.
- Provide support by documentation of maintenance, training, and/or validations business needs

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Must have a two (2) year advanced education in facilities maintenance related curriculum or equivalent experience plus four (4) plus years of experience as Facilities Maintenance mechanic in the pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging industry
- Knowledgeable of appropriate construction codes.
- Maintenance for physical and mechanical condition of building (both inside and outside of building) , utility systems and facility equipment. Specialized training / certification / license in two or more maintenance disciplines such as electrical, electronics, refrigeration, current universal refrigerant certification is required
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing / pipe fitting, carpentry, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
- Candidates must have a strong HVAC and refrigeration and controls background in a Facilities Maintenance role for this open position. Working knowledge of cGMP's.
