This position supports a strategic inventory and replenishment planning system, by providing enhancements and ongoing support of existing and new software applications and hardware platforms. Works closely with end-user groups to ensure operational stability and that new applications meet the practical needs of the company.

The candidate will be responsible for development for new and existing applications, resolution of incidents and problems, and improvement of system stability for complex applications. They must present ideas and solutions at peer reviews and development sessions. They will demonstrate that they are capable of managing multiple efforts while maintaining the highest quality deployments to production. They will be expected to mentor team members in the day-to-day activities related to project work, support and technical growth.

The preferred candidate must work independently with minimal direction and have superior organizational skills. They will communicate to both business and technical audiences, as well as provide status reports to management. They will have the ability to support multiple work streams simultaneously and manage the work load across all streams to maximize productivity. They must have the ability to collaborate and work across multiple technical teams at both a project and/or program capacity. We are seeking an individual that has had 5-7 years experience in designing and building integrated scalable software solutions.  A Bachelor' s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field is preferred. 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -


•Key leadership skills:

The Senior Developer will be responsible for support of Inventory Planning and Replenishment applications.  The candidate will work closely with business customers and ensure operational health and stability of existing systems.

Candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting an IT support staff.  They will demonstrate that they are capable of leading multiple efforts while maintaining the highest quality of deliverables. They will be expected to mentor team in the day-to-day activities related to support and technical growth. The preferred candidate must work independently with minimal direction and have superior organizational skills. He or she will communicate to both business and technical audiences, as well as provide status reports to management.  Must have ability to lead multiple work streams simultaneously and manage the work load across all streams to maximize productivity, while looking for opportunities to reduce cost. Must be able to act with a sense of urgency to manage issues to resolution. 

Key functional and technical skills:

+Experience with forecast and replenishment type processes and/or applications. Experience with Teradata's DCM application a plus
+Experience with Inventory Management type applications or development
+Java development with focus on web development (JSP, Servlet, JMS, JDBC, J2EE Security, Struts)
+Understanding of standard web frameworks and languages (HTML, CSS, Javacript, AJAX)
+Knowledge of standard web service development frameworks and methodologies (SOAP and RESTful)
+Experience with standard SQL against DB2/UDB, Informix, mySQL or SQLServer
+Experience with developing applications using Cobol and other development languages
+Familiarity with Rich Internet Application Development (FLEX, Silverlight)
+General proficiency in XML


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-

Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects.

Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.

Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary.

Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.

Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors.

Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
-

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.


EDUCATION REQUIRED
-

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
