POSITION PURPOSE
-
  • The Functional Configurator performs 3rd party package configuration, integration design and development for approved projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
  • Understands business requirements and configuring program properties to meet those requirements.
  • The Functional Configurator has a good working knowledge of how a specific package works and how it needs to interface with other functional areas.
  • Coordinates User Acceptance testing (UAT) with the Business Client. Provide SRD and SES documents to the UAT and System test groups, to assist with testing scenarios.
  • The Functional Configurator performs all tasks using specific HD process techniques. Updates the Lead Functional Configurator and Manager on day to day activities and status.

 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • Gather detail requirements from business users for approved projects and small enhancements to existing projects using detailed analysis techniques.
  • Perform design and development for approved projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
  • Perform program configuration/modification and set-up activities using specific HD process techniques.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance testing (UAT) with the Business Client. Provide System Requirement Documents (SRD) and Systems External Specifications (SES) documents to the UAT and System test groups, to assist with testing scenarios.

NATURE AND SCOPE -

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technologies

Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 1

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • 3-5 years of related experience preferred. 
  • Retail/business experience preferred. 
  • BS Computer Science or related field.
  • Expereince in implmenting WMS or LMS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

  • Ability to succinctly identify business requirements and document design
  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
  • Solution oriented, creative thinker
  • Strong decision making and experience with package software implementation methodology and tools
