About this job
Maintain acceptable evidence of hazard insurance coverage for FHA-insured properties in accordance with established procedures. Functions include:
- Reviewing evidence of coverage to ensure compliance with investor and HUD requirements
- Updating servicing system with insurance policy renewal information
- Processing premium payments
- Following up with insurance agents for missing items
- sStting up insurance records on new loans
- Processing insurance loss drafts in accordance with procedures
Responsible for maintaining evidence of hazard insurance coverage for FHA & GSE insured properties including responding to written and phone inquiries from customers, insurance agents, and internal personnel regarding loans.
Functions include:
- Reviewing insurance certificates for compliance
- Working with insurance agents and borrowers on insurance deficiencies
- Processing premium payments
- Monitoring insurance claims
- Researching and analyzing problems and recommending solutions
- Conducting periodic audits of files and database
Qualifications:
- Experience with mortgage insurance and customer service (3-5 years preferred)
- HIGHLY preferred - experience with commercial and/or multifamily mortgage insurance
- Basic understanding of loan documents
- Proficiency in MS Office (TEST CANDIDATES IN EXCEL)
- Degree is not required
